Updating a Windows 8 core system with Windows 8 Pro Pack questions

I have two basic questions that I don't seem to get an answer that I'm confident with.

The first is can I perform a clean install with the Windows 8 Pro Pack? I have heard that all programs specific to the OEM that came with Windows 8 will no longer be available and I think I would therefore rather do a clean install so that I am not left with a lot of worthless bloatware on my system. I would also like to repartition the laptop because lenovo puts a lot of unnecessary partitions on the drive that will no longer be needed.

The second question deals with the need to perform a reinstall in the future. Can I perform the reinstall on the Windows 8 pro that will be on the laptop at that time or will I have to go through the process of reinstalling the Windows 8 that came with the computer first?

It seems like Microsoft has taken too many options away from the user if a clean install is not possible as it always has in the past. I am aware that I can buy the system builder to accomplish this but since I already have Windows 8 core on the machine I'd rather not have to go that route.

If anyone has a reason to not do a clean install in this case, let me know. I have always known a clean install to be the best way to install an OS.

Thanks in advance
