We have recently bought a new PC with an OEM version of Windows 8 (build 6.2.9200.16384). The first step we carried out was an upgrade from 8 to 8.1, build 8.3.9600.16384.
Some of our applications require the .net 3.5 framework however, with the 8.1 (8.3.9600.16384) upgrade installed we are unable to install the .net 3.5 framework using the DCIM command. "Error: 0x800f081f The source files could not be found"
The source/sxs folder in the EOM installation disc only has the files for the 6.2.9200.16384 build, I assume DCIM is looking for 8.3.9600.16384. Also the features "on demand" through windows update doesn't work as the source does not exist.
Are the installation source folders available anywhere on-line? In particular the "source/sxs" folder for the build version 8.3.9600.16384?
Thanks for your assistance
