Hello,
We have been successfully running the following commands to remove certain preinstalled apps from our Win8.1 pro clients:
dism /online /get-provisionedappxpackages
dism /online /remove-provisionedappxpackage /packagename:xxxxxxxxxxxx
This results in removed apps not being available for new users that logon to the client machine. HOWEVER in some cases we want to restore / reinstall some of these missing applications - I guess if you went into the windows store you could download a new version of the removed app(?) BUT we want to avoid clients accessing the store and the requirement to sign-in with a Microsoft account in our domain environment.
SO then how do we restore a removed app like Mail for example. Can we use: dism /online /add-provisionedappxpackage BUT does this command require a switch to the path of the appx/appxbundle file? How can I get hold of these files - or even extract them from the ISO they were preinstalled with on the original client machine?
Regards
Mark
