Environment: Windows 8.1 freshly installed. Windows update has not yet made any updates. A GPO has been successfully applied, which specifies a StartUpScript and "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon".
In this situation the Start-up script runs as expected.
However, After a while all updates including Update 1 has been installed. Now the problem emerges:
The start-up script no longer executes.
This is a cut from the system eventlog.

In the first line EventID 1129 states a GPO processing failure because of lack of network connectivity. EventID 1130 states the failure of the Start-up script.
The fifth line states the followin: "...Network controller configured for 1GB full-duplex link"
In other words: Despite the GPO (verified with Group Policy Results Wizard), Windows 8.1 tries to execute the start-up script before network connectivity has been achieved!
Computers in the same environment with less potent hardware, does not expose this behaviour.
Any suggestions for a fix?
