It appears (confirmed by testing) if you use EaseUS Partition Manger to modify a partition on a Windows 8 (.1) UEFI install, it will remove theVolume Information for all the Recovery partitions. This, of course, makes the Recovery system inoperable.
The result of the EaseUS operation is evident in Diskpart with the partition showing a TypeOEM. The Type ID and Attributes are still correct, but the partition is not accessible with Diskpart.
I have found I can correct the situation by changing the partition type to a normal data partition, rebooting, and then changing the Type and Attributes back to the Recovery partition designation.
My question is, does anyone know of an easier way to correct this situation and restore theVolume Information without having to change the partition details?
I have notified EaseUS about the situation but have gotten no response from them...
Thanks
