So I just got a new HP pavilion laptop with Windows 8 for my brother's birthday tomorrow, opened it and got everything pre-set up and tried to install updates. After downloading, windows says "Failure configuring windows updates, reverting changes". I waited an hour only to see it reboot, back to "Preparing to configure windows" and then Failure again. It is now stuck in this loop and I can't even get it running. Hard resetting only leads back to this screen. I have to have this thing ready to go tomorrow evening, why is this so hard?
