it wont let me update to windows 8.1

Hi, my laptop is windows 8 and im trying to update it to windows 8.1 but everytime i go and click on thw windows upate it says that i need to install the lastest updates and it tells me to go and ''check for updates'' but i have done that and everything is updated and it says there are no more updates. So i go back to the windows 8.1 update and it still says the same thing.

HELP!!
