Environment:
I have a Windows 2k8 r2 server operating as printserver. The clients are all running under Windows 8.1 with all current updates installed. Every client can be used by similar users using roaming profiles. Every user can add printers by using the Devices and Printers Dialog.
Problem:
Sometimes if different users have added the same printer all added printers from all users appears in the Devices and Printers Dialog. Means if two users have added f.e. Printer1 and the current users opens Devices and Printers Dialog there are two printers shown but both are the same (Printer1). This effect is also visible in the Device Manager Dialog. Another very strange behavior is only the printer added by the currently logged in user can be deleted with no effect to the other shown in the Devices and Printers Dialog. After some tests I realized that if I stop the spooler service as administrative user the logged in user can delete all printers in the Dialog also the printers added by other users, but if I restart the spooler service all printers will appear again.
