The device where Windows is installed is locked.

Attempting to revive a non-bootable system with Refresh resulted in the message:

"The device where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again."

The reason I attempt the Refresh is that Windows no longer appears in the UEFI Boot Menu on my Lenovo X1 Carbon. Attempts to add the windows boot loader back failed. In BCDedit I only see two entries, one with identifier { GUID } and one with {memdiag}

In the Windows RE I see that letter C is assigned to the EFI partition and D to the System partition. Coud this be the problem?
