Cannot disable Windows 8.1 Update for Silverlight

Hi everyone,

I'm using Windows 8.1pro without Silverlight. Although I even have not installed Silverlight, I get an optional update information by Windows Update after each startup. I have already applied the registry hack from

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/silverlight/en-US/135b3b72-89c8-4a3d-8587-41c411a5eef9/updatemode-registry-setting?forum=silverlightinstall

with the setting

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Silverlight\UpdateMode  0x00000002

which should avoid searching for updates. In fact, this setting used to work fine for some months, the annoying message didn't pop up. But since a week, Windows Update has restarted to bother me with the optional Silverlight Update.

Does anyone know how to avoid this useless update information?
