I wonder if anyone can help us.
Our company supplies Notebook computers to the education sector within the UK.
Our customers usually have thier own software and settings they want installed before the students recieve them.
How we did this on previous windows 7 machines was to ctrl, shift, f3 at the language screen on initial boot to enter audit mode.
we would then install the customers software, settings and any other requested information. While in audit mode, sysprep loads. After configuring the unit i would use sysprep, generalise, shutdown to oobe option.
i have tried the same on a windows 8 machine with the following error after restarting the notebook.
Windows could not parse or process unattend answer file [c:\windows\Panther\unattend.xml] for pass [oobeSystem]. A component or non-list setting is specified more than once in the answer file.
this is not as self created image for the unit, it is the default image included at manufacture.
Any ideas?
