I've been customizing our the start screen for organization's Win 8.1 image by using the Export-StartLayout and Import-StartLayout cmdlets to change the default profile within our MDT 2012 task sequence.
Recently, we were requested to add a few website shortcuts to the default start screen. I can see an entry for these websites in the exported file, but they don't appear in new profiles, perhaps because they're missing the favorite that they reference.
Is there any way to automate the pinning of web shortcuts to the start screen? It would be amazing to not have to do this manually.
