Can't add new drive to Storage Space

Hello all,Some time ago I set up Storage Spaces in Windows 8.1 x64 in a parity setup. Originally I had six 3TB drives and was running low on space so I decided to add an additional two 3TB drives I had laying around. One of the drives added successfully, but the other one refuses to add to the storage space. The error windows gives me is a 0x0000002 "The system cannot find the file specified." I am connecting the drives via a RocketRaid 2760a RAID card, and all drives are the same model. Some troubleshooting I've already attempted:

  • sfc /scannow returns no errors
  • chkdsk came back clean on the storage pool as well
  • Reordering the drives on the raid card
    • I've noticed that if the drive that is not part of the pool is in a higher channel than the drives that are, it causes windows to think that there is no storage space configured.
  • Adding the drive connected to the motherboard via SATA (this succeeds without issue) and then reconnecting it via the RAID card (it doesn't recognize it as the same drive and doesn't include it in the storage space)
  • Trying to add the drive via powershell
    • The 7 disks already in the pool are listed correctly when using the "get-physicaldisk" command, but the disk I am trying to add is not, but it is listed when using the "get-disk" command

Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions for further troubleshooting steps? Thanks!
