Unable to update to Windows 8.1

Long story.

I bought Windows 8, standard edition. I upgraded to Windows 8.1 a while back. Then I wanted to use BitLocker so I upgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro. My computer had problems so I wanted to reinstall Windows. I could not do it with the usual options in the OS (it was missing some files) so I used my Windows 8 disk to reinstall. I installed the updates so I could update to 8.1. Now I'm trying to apply 8.1 and it says the following:

"Turn off BitLocker because it isn't supported in the edition of Windows you want to install."

I had BitLocked my C: and D: drive. I erased my C: partition during reinstall but my D: drive is still there because that's where I store my data. It is still BitLocked and I can unlock it. However there's no way for me to actually turn off BitLocker on the drive.

Does anyone know a way to do this?
