I am aware this is unusual but there is a reason for it.
I am planning on putting together a new machine in which I will install an SSD for the OS, with data files on a separate HDD.
For work I use Dropbox which is located directly on C: drive (C:\Dropbox). I do a lot of work with AutoCAD and ArcGIS, applications that rely on links to data sources, to preserve these links Dropbox NEEDS to be on C:, but I don't want all my Dropbox files to use up space on the SSD. Therefore I am investigating the possibility of installing the SSD as D: with the windows OS on it and the HDD as C: with all my data files, including Dropbox.
So my queries are:
Is it possible to install Windows on D: and if so how?
Are there any potential issues with installing Windows on D: instead of C:?
Thanks!!
