My employer recently purchased a new Windows 8 workstation for me; ever since I got it I've been having strange issues. It's listed as an activated/licensed
copy of Windows in the system, but I regularly get error messages about Smartscreen being unavailable, and the Store tile does not open. Most of that I don't particularly care about. What I am concerned about is that the Change PC Settings button
also does not function. I am logged into the machine using Active Directory credentials and am a enterprise admin.
I'm getting a error in event viewer along the lines of
Activation of app windows.immersivecontrolpanel_cw5n1h2txyewy!microsoft.windows.immersivecontrolpanel failed with error: This app failed to launch because of an issue with its license. Please try again in a moment. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.
