I know that I can configure Windows 8 to use more than one language; my laptop is for the Canadian market, so it was configured for both English and French. I also added a keyboard mapping for Brazilian Portuguese. I'm able to switch between the different keyboard mappings by pressing [Windows Key] + [Space], which is part of the Windows 8 functionality.
I also know that I can connect more than one keyboard to a computer, although it will use the active keyboard mapping.
However, recently I purchased a Brazilian Portuguese keyboard. What I would like to do is keep my laptop's keyboard mapping set at it's default English mapping and have the Brazilian Portuguese keyboard default to the Brazilian Portuguese keyboard mapping without having to hit [Windows Key] + [Space] all the time.
Is there a way of doing this?
Thanks,
W.D.
