My laptop is running Windows 8 Single Language 64-bit ( pre-installed )...I have been constantly trying to update to 8.1 but to no avail.
Earlier when 8.1 had just released i had no problem : the update was available in the store however i wasnt ready to install it at that time....
But now the update cannot be found at all.....when searched about the problem ...i found out that a particular update kb2871389 was required to find the update in the store.However this update and 5 others are not being installed by windows update. giving errors....i tried fixing these by using windows troubleshoot and also some other diagnostic tool that the microsoft site said can help me repair update errors.Well this helped fix the error that was being shown then but now there is a new error which i just cant get over....i eventually found out about the DISM commands and ran them as well....still nothing happened....
I guess refreshing may do it...but i want to see if any other option is available.
Please hep me resolve this problem..i REALLY want to get it updated to 8.1...
