I got an HP Envy about a week ago with Windows 8. I keep getting offers to Download 8.1, and I've heard it's easier, so I went to the Store Page. When I got there, there was no message for Upgrade Now. Then I read in the Microsoft pages, to try updating with KB2871389 or KB2917499. When I tried KB2871389, my computer said "Not applicable for your computer". So I tried KB2917499.....it updated fine and suddenly I was able to get the Download Now message on the store page. When I pressed Download Now, I got a message "Need to use an account with Administrator privileges to install Windows 8.1. Try Logging in with the user account of an administrator of this PC and try updating again". This is a private pc. Where would I get this, and where would I sign in with it?
