Laptop screen won't start after opening the lid

I have a new Inspiron 3537 and i can't understand why my laptop screen won't start after opening the lid. I pushed all the keys and keys combination on my keyboard, the mousepad does not work either. I have windows 8.1 installed and i have sleep and hybernation turned off. The only thing i can do is to force restart my laptop but in the long run that can damage my HDD. I need to mention that the LED light on my capslock key does not light when i push it, which must mean that the keypad...
