I have a batch of 50x HP Probook 4330s that I would like to update to Windows 8.1 (x64).To prepare and test an image I am attempting a clean install using the Enterprise DVD iso over network via WinPE boot from USB.
The installation eventually fails with a BSOD :-( IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error and the system reboots after user input and the process cycles over and over.
See above link #1 for same issue from another user.
I am able to complete the Windows 8.1 install by disabling the Wlan card in bios.
Following the suggestions at:
Then:
- Enable card in bios
- Boot to safe mode
- Disable card in device manager
- Reboot to normal windows
Then:
- Windows Update - ok
- Windows Update - optional driver update - Ralink RT3592... BSOD
- Any other Ralink driver....BSOD
- Any other HP driver for ralink card....BSOD
I have an open HP case.
I have contacted Mediatek for support via email address listed on:

I posted in Microsoft communities but was directed here. I'm really hoping for a solution or some suggestions.
