Hi
I'm a registered developer ("Chime Computer Consulting", Account type = "Company"). I've written a custom LOB Windows 8 Modern UI app for a client; at the moment I am using a self-signed certificate. Client environment includes domain joined Win8 Pro, and there are non-domain joined Win8 pro Surface units, and may be some Win RT devices in the future.
When installing the package via the generated PowerShell script, I keep getting the "you need a developer license" dialog. So either I'm not getting my licensed developer credentials into the solution / manifest appropriately, or I'm running into what I've seen in another thread which suggests that I (or my client) has to pay for a license to enable sideload capability on a per device basis.
I was of the understanding that being a registered/licensed developer was necessary to address the sideloading issue. If not, what purpose does it serve when all of my development is LOB custom to the client and will never be on the Windows Store?
Thanks,
Bruce
